Designed and developed using the Lambda platform, in tandem with the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and Saturn Outlook, the GMC Acadia is a crossover utility vehicle that should benefit from more promotion on General-Motors' part. It very comfortably accommodates five passengers, whatever their size may be, and occasionally seven passengers, including luggage. Available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions, the only engine available is a 288 horsepower 3.6-litre SIDI V6. It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
