Mitsubishi Mirage G4: Almost a World Premiere in Montréal

The Mitsubishi G4 Concept was first unveiled in March 2013 at the Auto Show in Bangkok. It’s more of a prototype than a conventional sedan to join the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback.

Thanks to the magic of the internet, it was a presentation that went around the world.

In Montreal

Last week at the Auto Show, Mitsubishi had the Mirage G4 sedan for its North American premiere. More market research will be required before a decision is taken on whether this new model can possibly be offered in North America.

Once again with the help of the web, this Montreal unveiling was privy to worldwide media coverage.

Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback

It’s a front-wheel drive subcompact car driven by a small 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that generates an output of 74 horsepower. The setup is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT.

The manufacturer refers to impressive fuel economy estimated at only 4.9 L/100 km with the CVT box or 5.3 L/100 km in conjunction with manual transmission.

Like other Mitsubishi models, the Mirage hatchback is covered by a warranty of 10 years/160,000 km on the powertrain.
