Mitsubishi considering a Mirage sedan for North America

The Japanese automaker, which has just introduced the subcompact Mirage for the North American market is already considering the possibility of adding a larger sedan model.

In fact, it would be an exported Mitsubishi Attrage which is a model currently sold in Asian markets.  The car would be positioned in the lineup between the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback and the Lancer.

The vehicle will have a more powerful engine to compensate for the increased weight over the hatchback.

Like the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, the Attrage sedan is assembled in Thailand.
