This sedan was clearly designed to compete with German automobiles in the same category. Its mid-sized dimensions, agile handling, and less anonymous silhouette are all factors aiming at achieving this goal. Buyers have a choice of three V6 engines and an all-wheel drive system is available. This year, the IS gets a new V8 engine producing more than 400 horsepower. It is, in fact, the first model in a new sports car family identified by the letter F.
