The Lexus IS is one of the best alternatives to the German compact luxury sedans in a shrinking market segment. Other models are motivated by a 3.5-litre V6 and equipped with AWD. While not as prestigious or exciting as its German rivals, the IS proves far more reliable and cheaper to maintain.
