This Pristine 95-Year-Old Ford Model A Near Toronto Could be Yours

While many were busy checking out Black Friday deals, the team here at The Car Guide chose to sift through the classifieds once again looking for awesome classics we’d want to add to our real or imaginary collection. One in particular caught our attention on Bring a Trailer.

Located in Concord, Ontario just outside Toronto, this nearly century-old 1928 Ford Model A appears to be in pristine condition and require little to no care after having been refurbished shortly before the seller’s acquisition in 2022.

The body was painted in Dawn Gray with black pinstripes and pairs with a black vinyl roof, black fenders and running boards featuring Ford-branded boot scrapers. The wire-spoke wheels are finished in black and mounted with Garfield tires measuring 440/450-21. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums.

The spare tire in the rear is neatly tucked in a protective cover, while a vintage storage box is mounted to the fold-down luggage rack just behind.

Inside, the cabin houses a bench seat upholstered in grey, and the seller reports that the seat springs were rebuilt and the headliner and carpets were replaced as part of the refurbishment. Pop up the rear hood, and you’ll find a rumble seat upholstered in brown vinyl.

The Model A originally came out of the factory with a 201-cubic inch (3.3-litre) inline four-cylinder engine rated at 40 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. Under prior ownership, it was equipped with a revised water pump, an alternator and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a sliding-gear three-speed manual transmission.

The five-digit odometer shows 10,000 miles (16,000 km), but total mileage is unknown. At the time of writing, a single bid of $5,000 USD ($6,800 CAD) had been made. This direct successor to the legendary Ford Model T is offered for sale until November 29. Who’s going to be the lucky bidder?
