Production-Ready 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Caught for the First Time
An all-electric Chevrolet Blazer will launch later this year as a direct rival for the Ford Mustang Mach-E. We’ve only seen the concept so far, but a couple of shots posted by a reddit user over the weekend give us our first unofficial look at the production model completely undisguised.
As you can see, Chevrolet designers have made only minor changes to the Blazer EV that debuted last summer and has appeared at a few auto shows since then. That’s pretty rare in the auto industry.

The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer will be available in four trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, RS and SS (not to mention the pursuit-rated Blazer EV PPV). The one pictured here in Summit White is definitely not the sportier SS, but it could very well be the 2LT that will hit the market first—along with the RS—this summer. Pricing (MSRP) in Canada starts at $56,598 and $61,298, respectively.
The shot was taken at a DC fast charging station and also shows the motorized charging door. Chevrolet previously mentioned that the Blazer EV will have a maximum fast-charging capability of 190kW (depending on the model, charging infrastructure and weather conditions). This is slightly higher than the Mustang Mach-E, but lower than other EVs like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6. Maximum range is estimated at 515 km.
Full specs and equipment details will be shared in the coming months. By the way, if you think the aforementioned prices are too expensive, the entry-level Blazer EV 1LT will arrive in Q1 2024 with a starting price of $51,998. This does not include federal or provincial EV incentives, mind you.
Another option is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, which has been announced with a maximum range of up to 480 km and a base MSRP under $40,000 in Canada. It is scheduled to launch this fall, starting with a limited-edition 2RS in an exclusive body colour.
