2018 Dodge Durango SRT: Pricing Announced!

The all-new, high-performance version of the midsize Durango SUV will be on sale in Canada during the fourth quarter of 2017, and its MSRP has just been revealed.

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT will be offered at a starting price of $72,495, before adding freight and delivery charges of $1,795. For that sum, the seven-seat SUV will include leather and suede upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, heated and ventilated front seats as well as heated second-row captain’s seats.

Obviously, the most interesting part is found outside the cockpit. The Durango SRT is equipped with a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that belts out 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drivetrain.

According to FCA, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (0-60 mph) in 4.4 seconds. A rather surprising number, considering the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, which shares its mechanical components with the Durango and weighs less (2315 kg for the Jeep, 2505 kg for the Dodge), takes 4.8 seconds to accomplish the same sprint.

In addition, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT can tow up to 8700 pounds (3946 kg) when equipped with the available tow hitch.

On the options list are different-design 20-inch wheels, a power sunroof, Demonic Red Laguna leather upholstery, a rear-seat entertainment system, a suede headliner, carbon fibre interior trim as well as a wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching.
