Nissan has very big plans for the future of the electric car. Not only did the powers that be at Nissan insist on developing an exclusively electric design, but they have given themselves the means to complete a very large production run. The engineers managed to reduce the recharging time of the batteries supplying its 107-horsepower electric motor. The Leaf drives like a regular car and the advertised 160 kilometers of range is enough for most trips within the city limits.
