BlogGeneral Motors is Reducing its Car Lineup. So?
American giant General Motors recently announced the upcoming closure of its Oshawa assembly plant as well as four more in the United States in two others outside of North America. This despite an investment of more than $1 billion in 2008 to modernize the facility, and where build quality was …
First Drives2017 Buick LaCrosse: Silence is Golden
PORTLAND, Oregon – The Buick brand is slowly but surely gaining market share in the U.S. and Canada, after some very lean years with a small product lineup. As we might all know by now, Buick’s presence in the Chinese market is significant, which likely explains why it survived the …

The Car Guide is heading to the west coast of the United States, more precisely in Portland, Oregon, to slide behind the wheel of the all-new 2017 Buick LaCrosse. Not only is the car built on a new, more rigid and lighter platform, but along with the use of high-strength …
Test Drives2015 Buick LaCrosse: A Buick Through And Through
If Buick wants to survive, it’s going to have to woo new markets. To do this, the brand is showcasing the Regal and the Verano, both of which aim to seduce the competition’s clientele. But the Buick LaCrosse, the manufacturer’s traditional luxury sedan, has a totally different mandate. A direct …
Test DrivesThe 2010 Buick LaCrosse: Should Have Been Called Allure
I’ve always questioned manufacturer’s bizarre desire to saddle perfectly good cars with uninspiring nomenclature. Perhaps best exemplified by Lincoln’s decision to turn the whimsical Zephyr into the bland (and forgettable) MKZ, it’s a phenomenon that seems most common among luxury brands. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, Acura, even Lincoln now use …
First Drives2010 Buick LaCrosse: A job well done
This new Buick sure is Allure-ing! Sorry, but I couldn’t resist the temptation of this little play on words following General Motors’ decision to go back to the original name of its intermediate Buick. If only fools never change their minds, then GM has proven its wisdom. Time will tell …

News2017 LaCrosse 'introduces new face of Buick'
Buick has unveiled a redesigned LaCrosse sedan for the 2017 model year that sheds its cascading grille in favour of a look inspired by that of the Avenir Concept the automaker unveiled earlier this year. The 2017 Buick LaCrosse is slightly longer, lower and wider than the current model, while …

Buick used the Los Angeles Auto Show as an opportunity to unveil the latest generation of its full-size sedan, the 2017 LaCrosse. As expected, the Buick LaCrosse's styling is based on the Avenir Concept; the front fascia, the LED headlights, the new grille fitted with a pair of wings on …
Los AngelesThe Buick LaCrosse Will Be In L.A.
The Buick LaCrosse simply doesn’t have the same status as its rivals (like the Chrysler 300 and the Lexus GS). While it is as comfortable and silent as any of them, General Motors’ sedan is victim of its manufacturer’s reputation... Buick wants to bring the car back into relevancy: at …
