Jacques Villeneuve’s Custom New Audi RS 6 Avant is Oh-So Pink

Retired Canadian driver Jacques Villeneuve, who’s turning 53 on Tuesday, is the proud new owner of a custom-built, pink-painted Audi RS 6 Avant that you won’t find anywhere else on the planet.

The wagon was commissioned by the former F1 champion more than two years ago and configured by Audi Zentrum in Varese, Italy.

In a video on Instagram, Villeneuve says the RS 6 Avant has been his dream car since it first came out in 2002. Pink is his favourite colour and was featured on his helmet. In fact, all of the helmet’s colours can be found on the car, including blue for the brake callipers, black for the roof rails and other accents, yellow for the stitchwork, green for the “JV” logo embroidered on the seatbacks and red for the seatbelts.

The rear quarter window on the right side sports a “Custom Built for JV” mention.

By the way, since pink is not among the paint colours available at Audi’s Neckarsulm assembly plant, the dealer had to get it approved and manufactured, which proved to be a challenge.

Another video with Villeneuve and the Audi Sport manager at Audi Zentrum Varese, Mirko Monteforte, details the former’s motivations as well as the design process inside and out. We particularly like the blue and cream white leather seats.

In case you forgot, the RS 6 Avant wagon sits at the top of the A6 lineup and its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 has been upgraded for 2024, going from 591 hp to 621 hp. As a result, 0-100 km/h acceleration is down from 3.6 seconds to 3.4 seconds. Don’t miss our full review.

As we reported earlier this year, a new RS 6 GT is coming for 2025 and limited to 660 units globally—only seven of which will land in Canada. This model is based on the RS 6 Performance, but with more radical looks inspired by the Audi 90 Quattro race car that dominated the IMSA GTO championship back in 1989. What’s more, it features an adjustable coilover suspension as standard, complete with the necessary tools and instructions for making individual adjustments.
