VinFast Opens First Vancouver Location

Despite recent investiment cutbacks, VinFast is soldiering on in Canada with the official opening of its first store in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is the 8th VinFast location in the country and marks the Vietnamese brand's presence on the West Coast.

This latest store was inaugurated yesterday in North Vancouver at the Park Royal Shopping Centre, and the automaker says it was "created with futuristic and minimalist design languages and advanced technology to convey the “Future of Mobility.”

The VinFast store at the Park Royal Shopping Centre will display the VF 8 and VF 9. Later this year, visitors will be also be able to see the VF 6 and VF 7.
As a reminder, the VF 8 is a two-row, full electric SUV with a dual-motor setup that delivers up to 402 horsepower and 430 km of range. As for the larger VF 9, it offers room for up to 7 passengers and uses a similar setup with the same power, but promises to deliver more than 500 km of range.
The VF 6 and VF 7 are the more compact members of the family. They deliver up to 201 and 348 horsepower respectively, with sub-400 estimated range figures.

“Vancouver is a key market for VinFast as one of Canada’s major cities with good infrastructure, many policies to encourage electrification and, of course, its people’s acceptance of electric vehicles. With the presence of VinFast Park Royal, we have officially established our retail and service system in Canada’s three largest cities – Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. We are well positioned to start delivering vehicles to customers,” said VinFast North America CEO Nguyen Thi Van Anh.

The brand says that the 781 VF 8 vehicles in the batch of 1,879 exported to North America officially left Vietnam on April 16 and are planned to be delivered to Canadian customers from June.
