Hoonigan Founder Ken Block Dies in Snowmobile Accident

American race car driver and Hoonigan founder Ken Block passed away today in a snowmobile accident. The news was reported via social media from Hoonigan.
"It is with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away today in a snowmobile accident. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most of all, a father and a husband. We will miss him dearly," the brief release reads.
An Epic Video Series
Well-known in the world of drifting, Ken Block has dazzled his audience with the Gymknana series, featuring daring stunts and a heavy dose of drifting. Previously associated with Subaru and Ford, Ken Block had recently concluded a partnership agreement with Audi. Last August, the German automaker unveiled the S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron, a fully electric electric car that was used in the filming of Elektrikhana. 

Ken Block, 55, was also involved in several other extreme sports, including motocross, skateboarding and snowboarding. He was one of the co-founders of the DC Shoes company. Block is survived by his wife Lucy and three children.
