Cadillac Celestiq Coming With Mind-Blowing Interior and Price

The flagship for the next generation of electric vehicles from General Motors is not going to be the GMC Hummer EV for much longer. The automaker has repeatedly said that Cadillac will lead the way, and a large, ultra-premium sedan is coming to revolutionize the segment and knock the socks off a whole lot of people.

We’ve previously reported about this model, called Celestiq, and a near-production show car will debut on July 22. In the meantime, new pictures have surfaced online revealing more of the spectacular design and cabin.

The Celestiq will be an extremely opulent and exclusive product, each unit set to be built by hand and personalized according to the requirements of the customer at GM’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.

During a recent event where we had the opportunity to test drive the new 2023 Lyriq crossover, Cadillac’s interior design manager Tristan Murphy hinted that the Celestiq will boast materials and finishes not seen in a Bugatti or Koenigsegg.

Meanwhile, a report by The Wall Street Journal claimed the price could hover around $300,000 USD before customers even start adding extras. In other words, Cadillac wants to step on the same turf as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

The pictures you see here are surely worth 300,000 words. Riding on gigantic 23-inch wheels, the low-slung Celestiq borrows some design cues from the Lyriq and puts them in a highly aerodynamic, five-door sedan package. In a world fist, the four-quadrant, suspended-particle-device smart glass roof allows each occupant of the vehicle to set their own level of roof transparency.

The interior is arguably even more stunning with red leather all around (including the cargo area), numerous displays and a galaxy of LED lights within the door panels, where you can also find the controls for the multi-way adjustable front and rear seats. The digital interface in front of the driver spans the entire width of the dashboard.

“With Cadillac reimagining the future of American luxury, we are entering an era of limitless possibilities and the future of design,” said Erin Crossley, the Celestiq’s design director.

More details and pictures will be available on July 22, so stay tuned.
