Cadillac Celestiq Hits the Road For the First Time

Cadillac’s vision of the future of luxury is embodied by the Celestiq, and this luscious electric sedan was spotted for the first time on the road at GM's Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.

The Celestiq (prototype) is clad in blue and white camouflage with hundreds of Cadillac emblems dotted around the body, but you can still recognize the distinctive shape of the huge hatchback. The Celestiq will use GM's Ultium platform, which powers other products such as the GMC Hummer EV, Chevrolet Silverado EV and Cadillac Lyriq. For now, Cadillac has not revealed the exact size of the battery or its range.

The vehicle will include a number of technologies such as a huge 55-inch screen and GM's next-generation semi-autonomous driving system dubbed Ultra Cruise. In addition, the car will be fully customizable according to each customer's desires.

The manufacturer hasn’t publicly revealed anything regarding pricing. However, several media outlets have stipulated that the Cadillac Celestiq will cost around $300,000 USD. No launch date has been announced either, although we expect to arrive by the end of 2024 as a 2025 model. More details will be coming in the next months, so keep following The Car Guide to make sure you don't miss anything!
