“Cadillac Live” Offers a Whole New Way to Shop for Cars

Cadillac is not only reinventing itself from a product standpoint, but also in the way it markets them and interacts with customers. The luxury car brand has transformed a 10,000-square-foot Toronto film studio into a live online showroom aptly named “Cadillac Live.”

A first of its kind in North America, and for now exclusive to Canada, this new tool allows you to have one-on-one conversations with trained Live Agents across any mobile or desktop device, giving you real human answers to your car-buying questions no matter where you are.

You also have access to dynamic views of 10 vehicles from Cadillac’s 2019 lineup so you can explore every detail virtually while speaking to a product expert via one-way video.

“Today’s luxury consumers are increasingly time-starved and more discerning than ever,” said Hoss Hassani, managing director of Cadillac Canada. “What if someone offered an experience that combines convenience and accessibility with a high level of personalization? That’s exactly what Cadillac Live is.”

Shoppers can book their appointments for Cadillac Live at www.cadillac.ca, or they can speak to a Live Agent during the initial hours of operation, Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. EST. Outside of these hours, you will still find product-focused content built around the showroom and its agents, and you can book a Cadillac Live session at a later time or date.

Those waiting for their scheduled appointment are able to explore the lounge in 3D or view a series of pre-recorded sessions in the Cadillac Live space.

Once your experience is complete, you have the option to connect with a local Cadillac dealership, either to schedule a test drive or take the next steps in your shopping process. There are no sales on Cadillac Live.

The idea for this new resource is partly based on recent data from Google showing that twice as many car buyers start their research online versus at a physical dealership. And in the retail sector, 55 percent of online shoppers will abandon a purchase if they can’t quickly find an answer to a question.

It’s also worth noting that Cadillac is the No. 3 car brand for customer service in 2019 according to J.D. Power’s latest study.
