Christmas Gift Ideas: Photo Session

Finding the perfect Christmas gift always requires a lot of thought, especially when the person receiving the gift has only one hobby. In this case, that hobby is automobiles. After car mats, cleaning products, a Mopar clock, a pressure washer and deluxe snow brush, what else can you get for the car lover in your life?

Why not offer them a photo shoot with their cars? And we don’t mean 10 minutes in the field behind the house with you and your iPhone. No, we’re talking about a real photo shoot with a professional photographer, professional equipment and, most importantly, a professional result.

A basic photo shoot can cost around $200. That may seem like a lot, but believe us when we tell you that it’s worth it. A professional photographer sees the light, analyzes it, interprets it and adapts it to better capture the slightest detail of a car (or of a child, house, dog . . .  you get the picture). Also, photographers will find the best angle for your car and backdrop to enhance it. And the only things that are blurry in the photo will be intentionally so for artistic purposes.

Why stop with just one photo? There can be several, even with the same owner. The photographer can create a montage – or not. Obviously, it all depends on the amount you’re willing to invest.

Having a dream car poster in your office or bedroom is just fine, but having a slick pic of your own set of wheels is much better. And in 15, 30 or even 50 years, that photo will still be beautiful. Try it with an iPhone to see the difference.
