60 Collector Cars Found In France

Somewhere deep in France, explorers have found what is probably one of the biggest caches of automotive history: more than 60 vehicles spanning the last century (from before the First World War to the eighties).

Most of the vehicles are little more than rusted husks, but they are all unbelievably rare: Renault AX Torpédo, Talbot Lago Cadette 11, Mathis FOH...

But the piece de resistance was found in a garage: A 1956 Maserati A6G Gran Sport Frua, which is one of three remaining. And right next to it, under a pile of newspaper, a 1961 Ferrari GT California Spyder short-wheelbase was uncovered. This one should fetch around 12 million euros, especially since it is unrestored.

The original owner of these vehicles wanted to preserve the history of the '20s and '30s cars, before suffering an important financial setback in the '50s and being forced to store most of the cars outside.
