Ultimate Barn Find: 40 Cars in Alberta
Finding a rare car in immaculate condition is every gearhead’s dream. Sometimes, you hear about someone who found a unique vehicle under a tarp in some barn deep in the United States. In this case though, a man found the Holy Grail in Alberta: not one, not two, but 40 rare collector cars!
The story of this collection goes like this: the owner of a rich dairy farm went to a Ford dealership one day and bought 50 special cars, hoping they would appreciate in value. A few years later, health problems forced him to sell most of the fleet. He kept 10 of them, probably the rarest of them all.
When Lawayne Musselwhite, avid Ford and Shelby enthusiast, heard about the sale, he took one look at the list of cars and bought the lot sight-unseen for $1.1 million (check out the list below and you will understand!). When he arrived at the farm, the cars were in a sorry state: they were sitting on a dirt floor, and some of them had been ‘’borrowed’’ by the farm hands, who took them for joyrides in the mud.
The new owner of these collectibles is now looking to sell them. He plans on using the money to open his own Shelby dealership!
