Pebble Beach Auctions: A Collector’s Dream

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance attracts some of the wealthiest car collectors from around the world. This is why RM Auctions organizes one of its biggest auctions there each year. For 2014, some of the world’s rarest vehicles are set to cross the auction block.

For example, there will be a 1948 Tucker, one of only 51 built. In a near-perfect state, it should sell between $1.4 and $1.5 million.

There is another relic of the American auto industry, the 1992 Vector W8. Equipped with a 625 horsepower twin-turbo V8, this wonderful wedge was set to beat the 80’s Lamborghinis and Ferraris. This one is expected to bring between $300,000 and $500,000. Funny bit of information: the first owner of this car was a director for Toys R Us.

Equipped with an inline eight engine and a supercharger, the 1936 Auburn Speedster was waging war against Bugatti and Bentley for the title of world’s fastest roadster. This one could be yours for $550,000.

Want a classic European car? The lot is filled with old Aston Martins, Mercedes-Benz and Ferraris. For example, there is a superb 1965 Aston Martin DB5, just like the one driven by a certain British spy… It will surely fetch more than a million dollars.

If you are looking for something more recent, RM Auctions can also accommodate you: take your pick between a 2003 Ferrari Enzo, a 2006 FXX Evoluzione or even a 2013 Bugatti Veyron "Le Ciel Californien", a 1 of 1 edition.

You can even find some weirder offers, like this pristine 1966 VW Microbus, sold for between $90,000 and $120,000!

So take a look at the full auction, and tell us which one you would take home (if money was no object)!
