2015 Chevrolet Impala CNG Bi-Fuel

This is Dan Akerson, CEO of General Motors next to the bi-fuel Chevrolet Impala sedan which he just confirmed GM will produce for 2015.

The announcement was made during the OPEC Oil Embargo + 40 symposium, which refers to the 40th anniversary of the 1973 oil embargo.

The Impala CNG bi-fuel

A full-size American sedan that can run on gasoline or only using clean natural gas (CNG).

This combination of gasoline / natural gas, gives the 2015 Chevrolet Impala CNG a range of 750 kilometres.

The consumption of natural gas is higher than that of gasoline but is much cleaner and the driver can switch to "fuel" mode after emptying the tank of gas.

The bi-fuel Impala will be offered starting in the summer of 2014 to the general public, and also to companies with fleet vehicles such as car rental companies.
