Production of the Mclaren P1 Starts

McLaren has released the first pictures of the P1 being assembled by hand. The McLaren P1 is the upcoming plug-in hybrid supercar by the English manufacturer.

The images show us the workers in a spotless and user-friendly environment that is the stuff of dreams.

Entirely handcrafted, the lightning McLaren P1 is powered by a hybrid engine, which includes a 3.8-litre biturbo V8 engine that produces 737 horsepower. The electric motor adds another 179 horsepower to the tally.

Only 375 McLaren P1s will be produced at the factory in Woking, England.

In Canadian dollars, the car is worth a whopping $1.5 million.
