The fourth generation of the MX-5 is another reminder that you can have a whole lot of fun without tons of power. With lightweight construction, sharp steering and a solid suspension, Mazda’s little roadster makes the most of its 181 horsepower. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is paired with a slick-shifting six-speed manual gearbox that makes the optional automatic transmission pointless. There are four trim levels to choose from, as well as a soft top or hard top.
