Ford Maverick

Price $33,500 – $47,800
Fuel consumption 5.6 – 11.9 L/100km
The Car Guide rating 78%(view ratings)
Introduced for 2022, the Maverick is a small pickup that’s enjoying huge success. Alas, Ford has been unable to meet strong demand for the hybrid variant (2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and electric motor, 191 horsepower), so that powertrain will no longer come standard. Instead, look for a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder producing 250 horsepower as the default option under the hood. The Maverick also impresses when it comes to versatility, even where the (small) cargo bed is concerned.
