The electric variant of the F-150 will not return in 2026. Initially, Ford was to replace the XLT trim with the new STX, and range was expected to increase to 467 km with the 123kWh battery, representing a gain of 80 km. However, in a reversal, Ford has confirmed the discontinuation of the F-150 Lightning. A new generation equipped with a gasoline engine to extend the range is expected in 2027 or 2028.
