2015 Hyundai Genesis: Genesis of a Future Success!

The 2015 Genesis’ wheelbase offers an additional 75 mm compared to the 2013 model (there was no 2014 model).

The passenger compartment is nice and features a very modern dashboard.

Even though they’re different, the Genesis’ headlamps are reminiscent of those on the 2015 Chrysler 200.

These tail lights are pretty, especially when the brake lights come on.

So few buttons! It’s user-friendly and pleasant. Like any self-respecting luxury car, there’s a clock in the middle of the dashboard.

Regardless of which engine you choose, the transmission is an eight-speed automatic.

The front seats are very comfortable.

The rear seats are really comfortable, too. But my fellow colleague who spent 20 minutes in the middle seat has a different opinion!

The trunk has a total capacity of 433 litres, which is slightly less than the previous generation’s 450 litres.

The rear seat bench does not fold down. There’s just a ski flap.

In all, the Genesis is just 5 mm longer.

5.0 litres for the V8 and 3.8 for the V6.

There is some roll in slippery conditions.

Hyundai prepared a wet skid zone and two Genesis cars (one from the old generation and one from the new generation) to prove the benefits of the HTRAC all-wheel drive system. And it’s true, the new Genesis is much more competent in extreme conditions. Here my colleague Marie-Ève Côté is having a little fun!
