Collection of 42 Ferraris and Exotic Cars Going Up at Auction

RM Sotheby's will hold a unique auction on October 11 in Zurich, Switzerland, the kind that should make any wealthy exotic car enthusiast drool—especially among the Ferrari crowd.

A collection of 42 magnificently preserved and sought-after sports cars—known as “The Tailored for Speed Collection” and belonging to a single owner—will be up for bid. Such an opportunity doesn’t come along every day, that’s for sure. Let’s take a closer look.

Ferraris Taking Centre Stage

The owner was clearly a huge fan of Ferrari, as evidenced by 33 of the 42 cars hailing from Maranello.

These include the iconic 1998 333 SP race car, limited-edition track-focused machines such as the 2012 599XX Evo and 2016 FXX-K Evo, exclusive models like a 2024 Daytona SP3 and 2017 F12berlinetta 70th Anniversary, as well as several classics ranging from a 1968 365 GT 2+2 by Pininfarina to a 1987 Testarossa ‘Monodado’ and 1989 F40.

The 333 SP is the car in the entire collection that has the highest estimated value according to RM Sotheby's, at 4.5-5 million Swiss francs (the equivalent of $7.8-8.7 million CAD).

Bugatti, Pagani and Others

Sports cars from other brands are also featured in the collection, starting with a 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and a 2021 Pagani Huayra Roaster BC, each worth somewhere between 3-3.5 million Swiss francs ($5.2-6 million CAD).

A few Bentley, Mercedes-AMG and Lamborghini models are on the list, too, including a 2021 Sian FKP 37 that was part of the first series of hybrid cars to come out of Sant’Agata Bolognese. Oh, and let’s not forget one of the 30 units of the 2022 Pagani Huayra R, which has logged a mere 470 km so far.
