Subaru Prepares to Unveil Brand New EV Called Uncharted
A brand new Subaru vehicle, called Uncharted, is about to make its global debut. The premiere will take place on July 17 at 7:30 pm ET.
All we know for now is that it will be electric and a compact crossover—essentially the Solterra’s little brother—and launched as a 2026 model.

The only picture released by Subaru in the U.S. doesn't reveal much. Zooming in, we can see the rear of the vehicle with the brand’s name in large letters on the liftgate, slim taillights and a contrasting black roof at the end of which are attached two tiny spoilers.

Looks familiar? Well, it should. This is a carbon copy of the 2026 Toyota C-HR that was unveiled in mid-March and is expected to go on sale in Canada next year. In another words, one more Subaru-Toyota collaboration.
The all-new Uncharted (seriously, Subaru could have picked a better name) seems to focus on adventure and charting new territory for Subaru. Most components will be shared with the C-HR. The latter will offer 221-hp FWD and 338-hp AWD variants, enabling 0-100 km/h sprints in as little as 5.2 seconds. The 77kWh battery provides an estimated range of 500 km and 465 km, respectively, while maximum DC fast charging capability is 150 kW.

With this addition, Subaru will now have three electric vehicles in its lineup. The other two are, of course, the Solterra, which has been significantly improved for 2026, and the Trailseeker, another new product that emphasizes versatility, towing and off-road driving, much like the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland.
The Car Guide will be attending the live reveal in New York, so come back on July 17 to learn more about the 2026 Subaru Uncharted.
