Stunning All-White Porsche Collection Sold for $41 Million

Year after year, white is the most popular car colour globally, but we bet you won’t find a more stunning display than the formerly Texas-based “The White Collection,” which went under the hammer last weekend during an auction hosted by RM Sotheby’s.

This formidable family of cars managed to find a new owner for a cool $30.5 million USD, or the equivalent of $41.5 million CAD at today’s exchange rate.

Among the 63 vehicles in the collection were 56 Porsches from various generations, as well as two Porsche tractors and other notable automotive gems.

Pictured above, the crown jewel was a specially commissioned 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid supercar equipped with the desirable Weissach performance package and around $100,000 worth of options. Finished in Grand Prix White with matching wheels and a Yachting Blue leather interior, it remains just as new with only 12 miles (19 km) on the odometer. No wonder the car sold for $3.94 million USD.

Three other Porsches topped $2 million USD each including a 1997 911 GT2 originally delivered to Japan, a custom 1993 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 built by Porsche Motorsport and the 1974 911 Carrera RS 3.0 you can see below, said to be the best-preserved of only 55 units ever made.
