Bentley Boosts Comfort, Sportiness With New Azure, S Models

Bentley is redefining comfort and wellbeing for passengers with a new Azure specification for each and every one of its models.

It’s not quite the Mulliner experience, but the British automaker offers a carefully curated selection of features designed to maximize relaxation. There’s a safety element to it, as well, since stress and fatigue are responsible for a number of distractions behind the wheel and accidents on the road.

To create the Azure range, Bentley consulted with neuroscientists to understand the inter-relationship of colour, texture, tactility and even scent to create an atmosphere of relaxed serenity. Every fabric, sound, motion, colour and touch continuously impacts a passenger's nervous system and the Azure cabin has been tailored accordingly. One example is the choice of open-pore veneers whose softer, satin-like, reflective quality evokes a mood of calm.

All Azure models feature the Front Seat Comfort Specification including heated and cooled front seats with up to 22-way adjustability and a massage function with six programmable settings. Another key element is Bentley Dynamic Ride, a 48V active anti-roll control system that enhances ride comfort and limits body roll in corners.

The various driver assistance systems come from the Touring Specification. There’s also Night Vision, which uses infra-red cameras to identify pedestrians, cyclists and wild animals outside the beam of the LED headlights.

As for the exterior design, Azure models stand out with unique badging, bright chrome trim up front and exclusive 22-inch, 10-spoke wheels. In the case of the Flying Spur, a glass-to-glass panoramic sunroof is included, too.

S is Sporty and Stylish

For customers who demand an extra dose of sportiness and style, Bentley is also introducing new S models that will slot just below the exisiting Speed models.

Highlights include a new sport exhaust system for a more expressive sound and unique Bentley Dynamic Ride calibration for superior agility. The suspension is anchored by exclusive 22-inch wheels in gloss black.

A dark treatment is applied to the front grilles as well as the headlights and taillights. Inside, S design sports seats provide additional support, while new S embroidery brings contrast to the cabin. Performance-focused graphics for the driver display are another notable feature.

When it comes to the Continental GT S (coupe and convertible), only the 542-horsepower, 4.0-litre V8 is available, so forget the almighty W12 engine rated at 650 horsepower. However, with the Flying Spur S, customers can choose between the V8 and the plug-in hybrid powertrain (select markets only).
