2023 Acura Integra Priced Just $600 Above Honda Civic Si

Have you reserved a copy of the brand new 2023 Acura Integra yet? The car will begin arriving at dealerships in June, and Canadian pricing is now out.

The entry-level model starts at $34,350 (plus $2,365 freight and PDI). That’s roughly $3,000 above the ILX sedan it replaces and barely $600 more expensive than the Honda Civic Si which shares a number of components.

At the top of the list, of course, is the turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 200 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 pound-feet of torque from 1,800-5,000 rpm. Sadly, the standard transmission is a CVT, albeit one that features Step-Shift functionality with paddle shifters simulating gear changes. Drivers can choose between three distinct drive modes—Comfort, Normal and Sport—for the throttle response, automatic transmission mapping, steering feel and gauge colour.

The Integra stands out from Honda’s sporty compact sedan with a more versatile hatchback configuration. LED headlights and chicane-style LED daytime running lights are both standard along with dual exhaust tips, a power sunroof and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, there’s a fully digital 10.2-inch gauge cluster and 7-inch centre touchscreen. Also standard is the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features, plus a one-year free trial of AcuraLink services including Security and Remote packages.

The Integra A-Spec comes next with a base MSRP of $37,050. This one boasts 18-inch wheels on performance all-season tires, gloss black accents all around and a rear spoiler. There are some unique touches inside, too.

The most desirable model is unquestionably the top-line Integra Elite A-Spec at $42,550. Goodies include an adaptive sport suspension and “Individual” drive mode which makes it possible to customize the car’s various settings. A configurable head-up display, 9-inch touchscreen and 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D sound system are also part of the mix.

More importantly, this model is the only one to offer a close-ratio, six-speed manual gearbox—at no extra cost. The stick shift comes with a limited-slip differential and promises to be just as precise and fun to manipulate as that of the Civic Si.

Watch this space in the next few weeks as we’ll have our first driving impressions of the 2023 Acura Integra to share with you.
