2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Pricing Announced for Canada

At the very beginning of the year, Jeep unveiled the all-new, three-row 2021 Grand Cherokee L that will arrive at Canadian dealerships this spring. It’s the first time the venerable midsize SUV can accommodate up to seven passengers, which will no doubt attract more customers.

And now we finally know how much it will cost.

The lineup starts with the Grand Cherokee L Laredo at $52,495, excluding $1,895 destination. For the record, that’s $4,500 above the price of the outgoing two-row model. It comes standard with all-new LED exterior lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats and steering wheel, new “tip and slide” second-row seats, 10.25-inch frameless digital driver cluster with customizable menu options and the advanced new Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are part of the mix, as well.

For an extra of $2,995, the Altitude Package adds a Gloss Black finish on the wheels, exterior accents and badging, plus roof rails and a unique seven-slot grille. Other functional features include remote start, power liftgate with adjustable height, rain-sensing wipers, 115V power outlet and third-row USB ports.

Next up is the Limited trim at $59,995. It offers premium features such as Capri leather seats, heated seats in the first two rows, remote start and the aforementioned power liftgate with adjustable height.

There’s quite a big step to get to the next model, which is the Overland starting at $68,995. This one boasts a more sophisticated 4x4 system (Quadra-Trac II), a unique Overland appearance, Nappa leather seats and door panels, ventilated front seats with length-adjustable cushions, premium navigation, new ambient LED lighting with a five-colour selection, foot-activated power liftgate and dual-pane sunroof. A Trail-Rated Off-Road Group is available, adding high-strength steel skid plates, electronic limited-slip differential rear axle and 18-inch wheels on all-season tires.

Want more luxury? Priced from $74,495, the Grand Cherokee L Summit gets quilted Nappa leather seats, Absolute Oak wood and leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, 16-way adjustable front-row seats with memory, lumbar and seat back massage, Summit-specific LED fog lamps and additional safety features, such as Active Driving Assist, drowsy driver detection and a 360-degree surround view camera.

Finally, the top-line Summit Reserve carries a tag of $78,490. It stands out with hand-wrapped, quilted Palermo leather, open-pore Waxed Walnut wood, ventilated second-row seats, 21-inch wheels and a premium 950-watt, 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.

With Overland and higher trim levels, you can replace the 290-horsepower V6 with the acclaimed 5.7-litre HEMI V8 producing 357 horsepower and increasing maximum towing capacity from 6,200 pounds to 7,200 pounds. The extra cost is $3,495. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

As previously reported, a plug-in hybrid variant called Grand Cherokee 4xe (two rows only) will join the lineup at a later date, following in the footsteps of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Oh, and this is great: all 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L customers benefit from the new Jeep Wave customer service program, which includes three years of complimentary maintenance at Jeep dealerships (up to six oil changes and tire rotations), dedicated Jeep Wave call centre support, trip interruption and first-day loaner coverage, and VIP treatment at select Jeep events.
