Alpha Ace is a Retro-style Electric Coupe We Want in Canada
If you like the cool little Honda e, chances are you will be just as enamoured with Alpha Motor Corporation’s latest creation. This new car company based in Irvine, California recently unveiled the Alpha Ace, a retro-style electric coupe that bears many similarities with the Alfa Romeo GT Junior built from 1966-1971.
The remarkable work of Alpha designers is proof that EVs don’t need to have outrageously futuristic lines (we’re pointing at you, Tesla Cybertruck). The metallic grey paint called “Blue Seraph” looks a bit cold, but there are many other colours available.

With a chopped front end, low stance, curvy profile with a fastback design, and oversized tires on 16- or 18-inch wheels, the Alpha Ace boasts a unique, sporty look that hints at fun times on the road.
In terms of size, the car measures 4,180 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height. The 2+2 interior is said to offer comfortable front seats for the driver and passenger, along with compact rear seats for “occasional storage.” The trunk is surprisingly capacious with nearly 400 litres of room.
The two-tone layout is highlighted by a minimalist and airy cockpit. Interior door handles are replaced by vintage straps, the long and narrow centre console is detached from the dashboard, and the latter eliminates all physical controls, putting the entire command centre on the large touchscreen. Even the steering wheel only has two buttons.
As for performance, the Alpha Ace features a large battery under the floor and an electric motor transfering power to the rear wheels. The car weighs 1,632 kilos and sprints from 0-60 mi/h (97 km/h) in six seconds. Range is estimated at more than 400 km.
Pricing and other details will be announced in the coming months, but customers in the U.S. can already reserve a copy of the Alpha Ace. We sure would like to see it here in Canada.
