The Official Focus RS Specs Are In!

It’s a well-known fact: Ford is bringing its new Focus RS to our side of the Atlantic. However, its power figures were a well-kept secret—until now!

First, keep in mind that the Focus RS will have to compete with the Volkswagen Golf R and Subaru WRX STI, which boast 292 and 305 horsepower, respectively. Well, fasten your hats, because the small American car will have 345 horsepower! Torque will be 325 lb.-ft. from 2,000 to 4,500 rpm, and in addition, innovative technology allows the engine to develop 347 lb.-ft. of torque when the driver goes full-throttle. The EcoBoost engine will push the rev counter up to 6,800 rpm.

Everything will be controlled by a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels through a new system developed specifically for the car.
