Nissan Wants You to Mod Their Titan

Nissan has a lot of hope for its upcoming Titan. In the past, the model struggled for relevancy among its competitors (like the Ford F-150 and the Chevrolet Silverado, among others), so the Japanese manufacturer went to great lengths to make sure its new truck would be better than ever. It listened to input from truck owners (and not only those who drove a Titan!) and enlisted one of the biggest names in truck engines to offer a diesel powertrain: Cummins.

Nissan also invited the aftermarket community to develop accessories for the Titan. To help the development of their new aftermarket products, representatives from different companies had the occasion to measure the all-new diesel Titan XD during a measurement session; this way, as soon as the truck hits dealerships, there will be healthy aftermarket support.

This is great news not only for those who want to customize their truck, but also for businesses, since a large percentage of aftermarket upgrades are tailored for them (storage, ladder racks…). There are also rumours that the Cummins engine might have a lot of tuning potential…
