A New Tesla For Inclement Weather

The Tesla Model S is now well known. This electric sedan has won the hearts of both ecologists and car lovers, something we thought to be impossible. The car is pretty, it works using only electricity, its fast and it has a good range. What more could you possibly need?

The fastest Model S, the P85D, even features an all-wheel drive system to help transfer its 691 horsepower to the ground. The fact that it can spin all four wheels not only helps its tremendously quick 0-100 km/h time, but it’s also a blessing in our inclement weather. Up until now however, if you wanted an all-wheel drive Model S, you had to be prepared to pay: the least expensive one was $97,400, since only the top-of-the-line 85 versions offered it…

The manufacturer decided to change that with the addition of a 70D model. It offers a range of 385 km, can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and will eventually hit a top speed of 225 km/h. Replacing the Model S 60 as the base-model in the lineup, the 70D sells for $86,850. The list of standard equipment is exhaustive: backup sensors, satellite navigation, an 8-year warranty for the drivetrain, automatic braking in case of emergency and a lot more. Even better is the fact that all-wheel drive comes standard on the Model S 70D.
