Future Classics, According To Hagerty

Each year, Hagerty Insurance unveils a list of brand-new vehicles that they think will increase in value in the 25 next years. While some of the cars highlighted here are a given, some are more surprising. Here is the 2015 lineup, in no particular order:

  • 10: Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition: This pint-sized supercar is the first car sold by Alfa Romeo on our shores in 20 years, and the Launch Edition will become the rarest of them.
  • 9: Dodge Challenger Hellcat: 707 horsepower and a quarter-mile time of 10.8 seconds. Need we say more?
  • 8: Volkswagen Golf R: VW took the winning recipe of the GTI and improved it with AWD. This car (the fastest to ever bear a VW badge) will be sought-after in the coming years.
  • 7: MINI John Cooper Works: The John Cooper Works is the most powerful MINI ever built. This little go-kart may very well increase in value, especially since its production is limited.
  • 6: Subaru WRX STi Launch Edition: With its rally car pedigree, the STi is another solid choice. And since this particular vehicle is the\a Launch Edition, you can be sure it will be worth a lot if it’s well-maintained.
  • 5: Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary: The newest Miata might be brand-new, so you can be sure Mazda will churn out as many as they possibly can. The rare one to go for is the 25th Anniversary edition, of which only 200 were sold.
  • 4: Ford Mustang GT Performance Package: According to Hagerty, this is the particular version which future collectors will look for.
  • 3: Chevrolet Corvette Z06: Not only is it the fastest Corvette ever built, it’s capable of putting the best Italian supercars to shame.
  • 2: Chevrolet Camaro Z/28: Who ever thought that a street-legal Camaro could handle so well on a track?
  • 1: BMW M4 Convertible: Another page in the history of the M3/M4 has been written. For the first time, the stock engine comes with a turbocharger bolted to it.

What do you think of this list? What car will be a collectible in the coming years?
