Audi Pondering A3 Hatchback for Canada

Audi is considering marketing a Canadian hatchback version of the new A3 which has been freshly updated for 2014.

We've had an A3 hatchback since the 2006 model year but Audi originally intended for us to get only the A3 sedan moving forward. In a recent tweet, the German manufacturer said that it’s considering continuing the hatchback for Canadians.

The hatchback (or wagon if you prefer) is popular in Europe and given Canadians' slightly different taste in vehicles compared to that of our southern partners, it's possible we'd be the beneficiaries of the car being continued in Audi’s lineup here.

The car would not arrive here before 2015, likely as a 2016 model.
