Dubai Police Get a McLaren MP4-12C

Santa delivered a stunning McLaren MP4-12C to the Dubai police force this year.

It’s a car that joins the Aston Martin One-77, Ferrari FF and Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 already in service with the more spoiled police forces around the world. It represents quite a leap from the Dodge Chargers and Chevy Impalas that our Western police forces are accustomed to.

The purchase not only aims to deter traffic violations but also as a showcase to highlight the renewed prosperity being enjoyed in Dubai.

The McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8-litre V8 engine that puts out 616 horsepower. It takes only 3.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and its top speed is 329 km/h.

Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates in addition to being the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. It has more than one million inhabitants.
