The Montreal International Auto Show is Coming Up!

The holiday season is over . . . Yessss! This means that the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) is right around the corner. That’s right! From January 17 to 26 at Montreal’s Palais des congrès, the event will be one of Canada’s largest new car exhibits.

Tons of new products

The 46th edition of the Montreal International Auto Show will feature tons of new products. There will be approximately 500 vehicles displayed over four levels, including 45 Canadian premiers. Among them is the BMW i3, the car that is ushering in a new line of electric vehicles at BMW. There’s also the latest Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible, the gorgeous Maserati Ghibli, the sure hit Mercedes-Benz GLA compact SUV, the Subaru WRX and the Volvo V60, a superb family wagon. And so much more!

Exceptional cars

The show simply wouldn’t be a show without Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and other high-end brands. This year, the group of exceptional cars is joined by the all-new Felino CB7. This Quebec creation features a fibreglass and carbon fibre body resting on a tube chassis, like the ones used in race cars. Hats off to its creator, former race car driver Antoine Bessette. And finally, the show’s exceptional cars also include the vehicles displayed in the Performance Zone, sponsored by Volkswagen. Surprises guaranteed!

Kia Motors Childcare Centre

For years, Kia has been offering parents on-site childcare services. Early childhood educators will be staffing the centre, which is open to kids aged 3 to 10 years during the show’s opening hours. This means that parents can spend the day looking for the car of their dreams instead of looking for their kids among the cars!

Automotive journalist for a day

Did you know that you could test drive some of the cars on display at the show? Working jointly with CAA-Quebec, the MIAS has once again made it possible for guests to take different hybrid and electric vehicles for a spin around the Palais des congrès. This initiative helps demystify these technologies, as this market is sure to explode in coming years. Come check it out if you’re interested in testing the Chevrolet Volt, Ford Fusion Energi, Tesla Model S or even a smart Fortwo electric drive!

Take home a Volt!

Speaking of electric vehicles, how would you like to win a Chevrolet Volt? The MIAS and Chevrolet will hold a draw for this revolutionary car on January 26, when the show closes.
