Subaru Releases BRZ tS in Japan

Subaru STI fans will have to wait a little longer for a full STI performance variant of the BRZ. Instead, Subaru is chosing to market (in Japan only) the BRZ tS which stands for tuned by STI. The announcement came in the form of a short video by the Japanese auto maker.

Falling well short of significant performance upgrades, the BRZ tS will have a new driveshaft, different lip treatment, and Brembo brakes.

Subaru is planning a production run of only 500 units. Half of them will be labelled tS GT and come with 18-inch BBS wheels, an adjustable rear spoiler and a Recaro front bucket seat.
