Lamborghini Diamante Concept

I'm telling you right now, this is not the successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo.

The Diamante is a graduation project by Thomas Granjard, a 22 year old design student, who has just received his degree from the University of Coventry, England.

The model, 1:5 scale, is a study of visionary dream style symbolizing the 60th anniversary of the brand, although this year Lamborghini celebrates 50 years.

According Granjardr they produce in 2013, 57 copies of a unique Lamborghini, referring to the number of facets of a cut diamond, to elicit its entire splendor.

For its part, the design of the interior is inspired by the human nervous system, with its brightly colored cables.

PHEV

Granjard says, his car should be powered by a powerful plug-in hybrid drive, with four electric motors with a total output of about 960 horses.

An approach that is reminiscent of the Acura NSX, the LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

A plug-in hybrid supercar would have a range of 900 or even 150 km in all-electric mode.

For his excellent work, he has received the Red Dot Design Award for 2013, a world renowned award.
