Final Dodge Challenger Out of Brampton Was This Demon 170
Much has been said and written in the past couple of weeks about the end of production of L-chassis Chrysler and Dodge cars in Brampton, Ontario. The plant will undergo retooling for nearly two full years and start making electrified vehicles in late 2025, including the next-generation Jeep Compass.
We simply wanted to show you the last car that rolled off the line on December 22—a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 painted in Pitch Black with yellow accents on the front lip spoiler and also on the wheels.

That wasn’t by accident, of course. The company made sure the Challenger would bow out with the fastest and most potent iteration ever. The Demon 170, in case you forgot, generates up to 1,025 horsepower when running on E85 fuel, accelerating from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 1.66 seconds and completing the quarter mile in just under nine seconds.
Production of this “Last Call” special edition was limited to 3,300 units including only 300 for the Canadian market, each one carrying a base MSRP of $130,890. Dodge didn’t say where the final car was headed.
As previously reported, the next generation of Dodge muscle cars—to be based on Stellantis’ new STLA Large platform and featuring an electric powertrain—will be built in Windsor, Ontario (alongside the Chrysler minivans) starting with the production version of the Charger Daytona SRT concept.
It appears that an ICE-powered variant will continue to be offered, more specifically with the new twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder “Hurricane” engine under the hood. We’re waiting for an official announcement early in 2024.
