Issue: On certain vehicles, the instrument panel may not have the correct split lines for the passenger airbag. As a result, the passenger airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. It could also cause small plastic parts to be projected inside the vehicle. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. The serial number of the instrument panel will be checked, and the dealer will replace it, if necessary. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
