Issue: On certain vehicles, the top tether anchorage point for a child seat in the rear-center seating position may be covered by a carpet. As a result, a child seat cannot be properly installed. Safety Risk: A child seat that is not properly installed could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the rear backrest cover (carpet) inspected. It will be replaced if necessary.
