On certain vehicles equipped with Continental P275/55R20 CrossContact LX20 tires, a manufacturing defect could cause a lack of adhesion between belts in the tire. Affected tires may exhibit localized tread wear, excessive vibration, noise and bulging in the tread area. Continued use could cause the belts to separate, which could lead to full belt/tread loss. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect tire date code markings to determine whether they are from the affected date code.
