On certain vehicles, the intermediate shaft may have been improperly riveted during manufacturing. An improperly riveted intermediate shaft could separate from the intermediate shaft flex coupling, which could result in a loss of steering control without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the intermediate shaft, and replace if required. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
