On certain hybrid vehicles, the transmission housing may have been damaged during manufacturing. This could allow a crack in the housing to form, and could eventually result in a transmission housing fracture, which would result in debris being spread onto the roadway, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the transmission assembly if cracks are found during inspection. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
