Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting and Retroreflective Devices. The vehicles may not give notification of a turn signal malfunction, as is required by the standard. The absence of notification of a turn signal malfunction could, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and driver reactions, increase the risk of a crash causing personal injury and/or damage to property.
