The Toyota Prius v can be thought of as a mini-minivan or more accurately, a hybrid hatchback with family pretensions. Not quite as efficient as the standard Prius due to its larger size and weight, the Prius v represents more of a compromise between frugality and practicality for those who need more interior room. Mechanically, it matches the smaller Prius with a 1.8L four-cylinder gas engine teamed with not one, but two electric motors to produce 132 horsepower.
